We cleaned up this small backyard and then installed a few new plants. We have a few before pictures, followed by the afters. Make sure to scroll all the way through because it is quite an incredible transformation! We are so pleased with the charming sitting area it has become. Last week, we installed this backyard landscape design for a client in Evanston. We had a large amount of space to fill and tried to use as many shrubs and other plants that provide year round interest as we could. We used a few shrubs that they already had and planted around them, but mostly installed many new shrubs and evergreens, along with perennials to fill in the space. Please leave any questions or comments and we will get back to you! Thanks for checking us out!
We spruced up this corner lot in Chicago by adding quite a few shrubs to what was once a dry and desolate space. Even by adding plants to only this one space of their yard, we were able to make quite a big difference in their home’s curb appeal and overall first impression. An area that was once dry and bare is now full and vibrant with a variety of plants that will bloom and interest throughout the year. With time and care, they will continue to grow and fill the space. As always, please leave any comments or questions below and we will be happy to answer them.
Front Yard before:
We designed this backyard for a client in Skokie a few weeks ago. Mulching out a curved space along the fence, we planted a variety of flowers, shrubs and trees, including some evergreens. We gave them a variety of textures and colors, as well as plants that bloom in different seasons to provide year round interest to the space. With time and care, the space will continue to fill in as the shrubs continue to grow. As always, please feel free to leave any comments or questions in the comments below!
It’s been a busy summer! A couple of weeks ago, we designed a front garden for this client in Chicago. We removed a couple of shrubs that weren’t doing well or had already died and replaced them with thriving new shrubs, appropriate for the light conditions in the yard. With time and care, the shrubs will continue to grow and fill in the space. The variety of color, texture and blooming seasons will give this space interest and beauty throughout the year.
After cleaning up the space in the back, we planted a few shrubs in front of their Limelight Hydrangea shrub and a few other plants to fill in the space even more.
We also filled planters on the front porch and back deck with a variety of flowers and plants, mostly suited for shady conditions. We even created a small planter for her children to grow some small edible plants.
