We recently worked on this Chicago home’s front yard garden, cleaning up the space and working with a smaller budget. It was a small space, but I’m proud of what we were able to achieve, bringing pops of color and year round interest within her budget. Here are a couple shots of the area before we started work.
We were able to clean this space up a lot, still keep a few of their existing plants after trimming them and add a bunch of new ones. Take a look!
Last week, we finished landscaping the front yard of a condominium in Chicago. I worked with the beds they had and was able to complement some of the plants that were already growing in their space with quite a few new additions of my own. The plants I chose will provide year round interest to their front along with pops of color and different textures. I was able to create a mirror effect with the plants to complement the mirrored look of the building. We also filled the front planter boxes with a variety of annuals. Take a look at the pictures and let me know what you think in the comments below. I am happy to answer any questions. Thanks for checking us out!
In this Asian-inspired garden design, we were able to use many of the client’s existing Japanese Maple trees and other shrubs or plants, simply transplanting them to areas that were better suited for their sun requirements and the overall garden design. Take a look at the pictures and let us know what you think!
Fall is the perfect time to plant bulbs, trees and shrubs to get your garden ready for next spring! Though it may seem like it’s starting to get too cold, this is actually the perfect weather to ensure that trees thrive after they are planted. It isn’t too warm/dry and not yet too cold. Though it is still very important to make sure that all of your new plantings are watered well, the typical weather conditions of fall (less heat & usually more precipitation), there is less worry of a drought . These huge flagstone pieces bring a little southwestern flare to this front landscape design in Des Plaines. A mophead hydrangea, Hinoki Cypress and other low-growing shrubs add year round color and interest. We also planted a variety of flowers and shrubs in the side garden along the fence. This month, we had the pleasure of designing and installing a front yard landscape in Evanston, transforming their front yard into an inviting salutation of color and evergreens that will compliment their home with natural beauty year round. We were able to work with some of their existing shrubs, simply trimming and planting a few more plants around them to fill in the space, saving them money in the process. Some features to note are the pavers we laid leading to the side door, the Yellow Spruce we installed towards the back by the fence and the dark purple butterfly bush in front of the windows. We are looking forward to hopefully revisiting this garden in the future when the plants grow and fill the space in a little more. Give us a call if you’d like a little color added to your front or back landscape!
We spruced up this front landscape with just a few shrubs and low-growing plants, but even just these small additions did a lot to enhance the forefront of this suburban home. Even a few shrubs in a small space can add considerable beauty and character to your home. Give us a call for a free consultation! We are happy to work with spaces (and budgets) of all sizes.
For this condominium front entry landscaping job, we were able to give them a more economical and budget-friendly contract by simply moving around many of their existing plants to areas where they would thrive better, flowering and bringing their intended beauty to the exterior of the building. After also installing a few new plants of our own, we love the lush greens and colors that fill the entryway and perimeter of this large condo building.
