We loved this article from House Beautiful that took a survey of their readers, interior designers and design bloggers to find out which colors in what rooms were most and least popular. The results were interesting. Here in the Midwest, yellow kitchens were high in the polls. Take a look at the results and tell us if you agree!
Also this week, we finished painting a client’s dining room a soft blue (Benjamin Moore Whitewater 2120-60) on top with a deep smoke gray (BM Smoke Gray 2120-40) beneath. (A chair rail separates the two.) We will be painting his kitchen sage green (BM Saybrook Sage HC-114) to compliment his granite countertops and red oak cabinets. His office and hallway will be one of my favorites, Benjamin Moore’s Carrington Beige HC-93. He wasn’t ready to remodel his bathroom but still wanted to update its look, so we painted it a deep blue color (BM HC-159) that matches the retro tile floor well. Even though he’s not a huge fan of the tiling, the newly painted walls compliment the bathroom well and update it without spending a lot.
Don’t forget! We offer a free color consultation with every signed painting contract. So if you still can’t decide what color would look best with the tile in your bathroom or the cabinets in your kitchen, give us a call!
